Eagle Research ("we", "us") respects your privacy. This policy explains what personal information we collect through eagleresearchlabs.net, how we use it, and your choices. We handle personal information in line with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles.
What we collect
- Contact details: name, email address, phone number, billing and shipping address.
- Order details: products purchased, order value, order history and communications with us.
- Account and rewards details, if you create an account or join our rewards program.
- Technical details: IP address, browser and device type, pages viewed and how you arrived at our site, collected through cookies and similar technologies.
Orders are paid by bank transfer. We use payment-confirmation information to match your bank transfer to your order. We do not collect card details for bank-transfer payments.
How we collect it
Directly from you when you place an order, create an account, join our mailing list or contact us; automatically when you use our website; and from our service providers (for example, payment and delivery confirmations).
How we use it
- To process, deliver and support your orders, including payment, fraud prevention and returns.
- To manage your account and rewards points.
- To answer your questions and provide customer service.
- To send you updates and offers, where you have agreed to receive them. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any email.
- To run, secure and improve our website, and to meet our legal and tax obligations.
Who we share it with
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with service providers who help us run our business, and only as needed:
- our e-commerce platform (Shopify) and website hosting providers;
- payment processors and fraud-prevention services;
- delivery and logistics providers;
- email, messaging and customer-service providers;
- analytics and advertising providers (such as Google and Meta);
- professional advisers, and government or law-enforcement bodies where required by law.
Overseas disclosure
Some of our service providers store or process information outside Australia, including in the United States, Canada and Europe. We take reasonable steps to ensure they protect it consistently with Australian privacy law.
Cookies
We use cookies to keep your cart working, remember your preferences, understand how our site is used and measure our advertising. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, but some parts of the site may not work properly without them.
Security and retention
We take reasonable steps to protect your personal information from misuse, loss and unauthorised access. We keep it only for as long as we need it for the purposes above or as required by law, then delete or de-identify it.
Age
Our store is intended only for customers aged 21 and over. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 21.
Access, correction and complaints
You can ask to access or correct the personal information we hold about you by emailing us. If you have a concern about how we have handled your information, contact us first and we will respond within 30 days. If you are not satisfied with our response, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.
